Makinson’s hat-trick in the win over Hull FC in the final regular season match meant our flying winger was crowned Super League top try scorer for 2019.
Going into the final round of regular season fixtures, Makinson trailed Leeds Rhinos’ Ash Handley and Salford’s Niall Evalds who were both on 22 tries.
But Makinson’s first half hat-trick and the fact Handley and Evalds failed to score in their sides respective wins meant our golden boot winner picked up the top try scorer award!
