Jacob Host speaks to Saints TV ahead of Thursday night’s crucial Betfred Super League clash with Hull FC.
The forward shared his excitement at returning to play in front of the home supporters at the BrewDog Stadium, praising the outstanding backing the team has received on the road in recent weeks, and expressed how much the squad is looking forward to running out in front of the Saints faithful once again.
Host explained that the team is embracing the challenge of the run-in to the end of the regular season as they battle to secure a place in the Betfred Super League Playoffs.
He stressed that reaching the playoffs is the minimum standard expected at St.Helens, with the players determined to maintain the club’s proud record of qualifying for every Super League playoff campaign.
Looking ahead to Thursday’s opponents, Jacob expects Hull FC to come out with plenty of intensity following a difficult run of results.
He believes the Black & Whites will be eager to respond, meaning Saints must be prepared to match that energy from the first minute if they are to claim two important points.
