St.Helens First Team Head Coach Paul Wellens looks ahead to Sunday’s visit to Twickenham Stoop Stadium to take on London Broncos.

The Saints are going to a ground they have not been to for over a decade to face a dangerous opponent, despite their standing in the Betfred Super League table.

Wellens talks about the challenge of facing a London side who are attack-minded and throw the ball about looking to create chances. Furthermore, the Broncos will be highly motivated to perform at what many of their supporters would consider perhaps their spiritual home. The Saints boss has laid down the task to his players, to focus on playing a tough game and not thinking solely about scoring points.

Wellens also paid full respect to London for the way they have worked hard and shown a strong team spirit in difficult circumstances with their grading criteria meaning they are effectively already not going to be in Super League next season.

Having missed out on reaching Wembley last week for the Challenge Cup, Wellens was also asked about the fire it could light in players to reach the Grand Final.
