Percival reflected on an emotional week ahead of his final appearance, with the club’s final game of 2026 set to mark the end of an era as he bows out alongside long-time teammate and fellow Saints legend Jonny Lomax. Despite the disappointment of missing out on the play-offs, Mark spoke about how the club has helped make the occasion so memorable for both players.
He also opened up on his decision to call time on his playing career, admitting there have been moments when he has questioned whether retirement is the right choice, but ultimately believing it is the best decision for himself and his family.
The Saints legend reflected on what it means to finish his career alongside Lomax, one of his closest friends and a player with whom he has shared so many special moments throughout their time at the club. With one final game ahead, Percival made clear just how much it would mean to sign off with a victory and give Saints supporters one more memory to cherish.
