David Klemmer made his return from a broken rib injury in St. Helens’ Round 25 defeat to Leeds Rhinos and gave his reaction after the game.

Klemmer was disappointed by St.Helens’ defeat to current league leaders Leeds, but believes there were some small positives for Saints to take from the game.

The prop made his return after missing several weeks with three broken ribs, which were dangerously close to his spleen. After a difficult spell on the sidelines, Klemmer was pleased to be back on the field and helping the team again.

Our towering prop remained involved around the Club during his recovery, helping his teammates wherever he could and staying connected with the squad.

Klemmer is now looking ahead to next week’s trip to Leigh Leopards, with Saints aiming to learn from the Leeds defeat and finish the season strongly.

He also paid tribute to Jonny Lomax following the captain’s retirement announcement, praising his contribution to the Club and his determination to return just 11 weeks after breaking his jaw. Klemmer hopes the team can put in some strong performances to help send Lomax out on a high.
