With club partner St.Helens College, members of our Men’s and Women’s First Teams teamed up to take part in a special cooking competition to find out who could be crowned the Saints’ Top Chef!
Split into teams of two, with one Saint from the Men’s team and one from the Women’s team, the players were challenged to prepare a dish by following a series of cooking tasks before presenting their creations to be judged by St Helens College staff.
With some players more familiar with the kitchen than others, a lively competition soon developed, with plenty of competitive moments and a few bizarre moments along the way…

- Hollie Bawden & Billy Keeley
- Caitlin Maylor & Jake Davies
While the competition was an enjoyable experience for our squads, the session also highlighted the importance of developing skills away from the rugby field. Through our partnership with St Helens College, our players get the opportunity to learn valuable life skills, including how to prepare healthy and nutritious meals and the importance of making good choices around food and nutrition.
