There was an emotional end to an era at the BrewDog Stadium on Friday night as Jonny Lomax and Mark Percival made their final appearances in the Red V, signing off their remarkable Saints careers with victory over Hull KR.
The two club legends reflected on what it meant to finish their playing days side by side, before the Saints faithful who have supported them throughout their journeys.
The chance to say goodbye on home soil made the occasion even more special, and both players expressed gratitude for the incredible support they received.
Lomax and Percival also looked back on their careers in the Red V and the countless memories they have created, thanking the teammates, coaches and staff they have shared those experiences with along the way.
For two close friends who have spent so many years representing St.Helens together, there was something particularly fitting about them walking away side by side and doing so with a victory to bring the curtain down on their playing careers.
