With most of the country still on some form of Lockdown following the COVID-19 pandemic, have you been wondering how the Saints players are keeping busy?
Over the past few weeks we have had a number of first team players both from our men’s and women’s teams take up the ‘Saints Lockdown Baton’ to share what they have been up to.
We have had the likes of Lachlan Coote, Zeb Taia, Kevin Naiqama, Regan Grace and Saints Women’s captain Jodie Cunningham all share an insight into their lives.
And continuing with the Lockdown updates, but with a slight twist, this week our Matchday Corporate host Pete Emmett is catching up with a number of our Saints men.
For those that don’t know Pete, he is a well re-knowned stand up comedian and compere who also hosts matchdays and events for Liverpool FC and Everton FC.
First up in Pete’s Saints Lockdown chat was a catch up with none other than Louie McCarthy-Scarsbrook who talked, Lockdown, home schooling, Saints, his teammates, a memorable trip to Everton and much more!
Next up, Pete sat down over ‘Zoom’ with Club Captain James Roby to talk all things Lockdown, his past memories, playing with so many world class players and what the future may hold.
He then caught up with fellow Yorkshire man Big Alex Walmsley. The pair had plenty of digs at each other whilst chatting through Alex’s career including his horrific neck injury and the game against Wakefield which saw the Big man shoot off the pitch for the birth of his son!
Yesterday, Pete checks in with Jonny Lomax to reflect on a brilliant 2019 both personally and as a team as well as look back on some of the more challenging times including Jonny’s knee injuries and horrific head injury as a youngster.
Pete’s final Lockdown Diary of the week is with unsung hero and workaholic, Morgan Knowles who talks his Grand Final try, representing Wales, shoulder surgery and Saints best dancer!
Enjoy!
