Kristian Woolf was just pleased to get the win over Hull KR on Sunday after a disruptive week, whilst there was also some positive injury news on Theo Fages who hobbled off in the first half.
Saints worked hard for a 32-12 win over Rovers at the Halliwell Jones Stadium and the boss revealed that his coaching staff weren’t able to work aongside the players all week given the ‘False-Positive’ Covid-19 test.
He also revealed Fages’ knee injury does not look too serious after ‘hyper-extending’ it, but admits ‘all the signs are good’. A scan will be needed to determine the outcome of that. Woolf also admitted there were some knocks to captain James Roby as well as Zeb Taia who picked up a slight groin strain, with the latter being assessed ahead of next week’s game with Huddersfield.
Woolf talks more on the win, has praise for try scorer Jack Welsby and young prop Matty Lees as well as discussing the options he has at his disposal if Fages does end up missing a few weeks of action with Roby and Lewis Dodd both mentioned.
