Kristian Woolf has provided injury updates on Theo Fages, Zeb Taia, Morgan Knowles and captain James Roby ahead of Friday’s meeting with the Huddersfield Giants at Emerald Headingley (6pm).
Fages limped off in the first half of our win over Hull KR on Sunday, with Woolf admitting post match that the signs were good, and the boss has re-iterated that despite the tight turn-around, our French half-back should be fit to play on Friday.
There was also some good news on Morgan Knowles who missed Sunday’s win after feeling under the weather during the week, with Woolf revealing Knowles will return to the side.
Zeb Taia will be assessed as the week goes on to see if he can recover from the minor groin strain he picked up during the victory over Tony Smith’s men.
However captain James Roby will definitely miss Friday’s game after he failed his concussion assessment after picking up a bang on the head on Sunday.
Dom Peyroux who came through Sunday unscathed will provide a boost, whilst Woolf also revealed young Josh Simm could get a chance in the centres.
Saints TV subscribers can watch the full 10 minute interview where the boss reflects on the manner of the victory on Sunday, talks about Peyroux’s first appearance since the restart, plus there was some positive words for Jack Welsby who came in on the wing and scored two tries, whilst Woolf also looks at Huddersfield’s danger men.
