On Friday night, St Helens and Hull FC will honour the legacy of one of the greatest rugby league ambassadors, the true Man of Steel, Steve Prescott who graced both clubs with distinction.
Steve made 117 appearances in the Red V, scoring 52 tries and kicking 66 goals, Prescott was an integral part of the team that won the 1996 Super League title and back-to-back Wembley victories in 1996 and 1997.
The Steve Prescott Cup is contested between the Saints and the Black & Whites annually, and Friday’s game is the first leg for 2023.
