Matty Smith spoke to us ahead of our Challenge Cup second-round tie against the Castleford Tigers away from home.
He spoke about how proud he was of the girls that went and played for England in the France international and singled out Leah Burke and Eboni Partington from the group; with Leah picking up eight tries in her last two games, and Eboni making her England Debut.
He also spoke about the challenge that Castleford will bring to us at the weekend, with them, like London, being a relative unknown. But he focussed on us needing to just think about ourselves and perform the way we know we can.
With Jodie Cunningham and Emily Rudge both leaving the field early in the England game there are a few knocks in the camp, and Matty gave us an update on our injury list ahead of the game, with a few of the girls in contention to come back into the side.
A Wembley appearance is on the cards for the Women this year, and Matty knows how special that can be, and is hoping he can take the girls all the way to that final.
