Since 1976, St Helens R.F.C’s all-time club appearance record has been held by the iconic Kel Coslett, who played for our club on 531 occasions.
Kel played for Saints from 1962 for fourteen years, scoring 45 tries and amassing an incredible 1,639 goals, totalling 3,413 points, both club records also.
Now, 47 years on, James Roby in his twentieth season as as a Red V player is poised to make even more history by becoming the club’s new all-time club appearance record holder.
Ahead of breaking the record and making a feat that will likely never be broken again, James Roby sat down in conversation with Kel Coslett.
