Following our big win over the Wigan Warriors in our home derby, Paul Wellens spoke to the press as he came out the victor for the first time in a derby game.
Paul said for the second time in two weeks we looked back to our best, as we’re keeping the game simple, and playing to our strengths as a squad, and that’s a blueprint for us moving forward.
When asked who he thought stood out, he singled out Agnatius Paasi, saying he’s looking back to his best since his return to the squad against Halifax. He also mentioned James Roby, with him rolling back the years in what could be his final ever Saints Wigan derby game. But, in his 100th game for Saints, Wellens was full of praise for Jack Welsby.
