St Helens Women’s Head Coach Matty Smith previews Sunday’s Betfred Challenge Cup quarter-final clash with Warrington Wolves.
The Saints have faced the Wolves already in the group stages of the Cup, winning 38-4, and it was the toughest test the Red V have faced in their defence of the trophy so far.
On the back of two league wins over Wigan and Leeds, and qualifying for the quarter-final at the top of the group, St Helens have been building well into the 2023 season.
By coming top of the group, a home final eight game was the reward and could be an edge Smith’s women can use to book their spot for the semis.
