Paul Wellens spoke to the press following our come from behind victory over the Salford Red Devils away from home.
He gave a synopsis of the way the game went and said for the opening five to ten minutes we were underwhelming, then the next twenty five, we were alright, but the second half we were outstanding, and worth the win in the end.
At half time he mentioned how he told the players that we needed to play the game where we’re more comfortable, and make them work harder, bringing fatigue into the equation, and with patience the gaps will open up, and true to his word, that’s exactly how we came away with the win.
With George Delaney playing a big part in the win, Paul singled him out for praise and said he told the players after the game that for a 20-year-old forward what he bring to the game is brilliant, however George then reminded him he’s only nineteen, making it that much more impressive.
Wello then followed up with an injury update: Curtis Sironen came of the field as a precaution and will be looked at through the week but we’re hopeful it was nothing serious. Will Hopoate however faces more time on the sidelines with a hamstring problem.
