Paul Wellens Spoke to the press following our victory over the Castleford Tigers away from home over in Yorkshire, as we went into second place with Wigan still to play.
He said that the first half was outstanding, but we left our standards drop in the second half, and we were punished for it, as we learned some valuable lessons while picking up the two points.
Paul singled out the involvement of Jack Welsby again as he had some big moments in the game, and praised Tommy Makinson as he again picked up points on the wing next to Mark Percival, who picked up his 1000th point for saints.
George Delaney was again fantastic in the middle of the pack and Paul said we knew that we had something there, but though his playing time would come in the next two to three years, but he’s doing a wonderful job right now.
