In our build up to our Heritage celebration fixture against the Leigh Leopards, we’re taking a look back at some historical fixtures that you might have forgotten about.
Today, take a look at this 2001 Challenge Cup classic against the Leeds Rhinos as we went head to head in our first game at the JJB Stadium, a neutral venue for the game, for the opportunity to walk out at Twickenham in that years Challenge Cup Final.
An often overlooked game due to what we went on to achieve in the 2001 season, but a classic none the less with some fantastic tries from both sides, and a nailbiting finish to top it off.
