Paul Wellens spoke to the press following our final regular season round victory over Hull FC at the Totally Wicked Stadium.
Following an unprecedented Super League Season that saw three teams fighting it out for the League Leader’s Shield until the final day of the season, we unfortunatley finished in third place, but Wello said he was happy to keep the top two fighting until the end.
The result means we’ll play Warrington on Saturday at home on Channel 4, and Paul said we’ll look no further than that game, with us knowing this is yet another different run to the final.
It was a return to the team for Alex Walmsley, and Paul relished having him back in the side, while crediting his work in recovery. He also credited the professionalism of Will Hopoate, returning to the team after so long out and putting in yet another solid performance. Konrad Hurrell made a barnstorming return to the side, and made his presence felt with more than a few line breaking runs.
