We caught up with back rower Jake Wingfield following our final preseason trial game against the Salford Red Devils.
It’s been a tough time for Jake, as he was originally told that it would be a three month lay-off, but then an infection set him back, that lead to his extended period on the sidelines.
He praised the team and the effort given in the game, saying the players that started the game performed brilliantly, and he was happy to get back on the field and work on combinations that have been set up in preseason.
With George Delaney looking to be more involved this season following his break out year last year, Jake said he’s enjoying playing with him, and looking to build more on an already budding relationship.
