Following our defeat in round four of the Betfred Super League season at the hands of the Salford Red Devils, Paul Wellens spoke to the press to give his thoughts on the game
Paul said he always knew this would be a tough fixture, and Salford always bring their best when they come to our ground. He paid credit to their effort but said we didn’t perform to our best on the night.
He had his say on the Mark Percival red card and said that if it is a red card, then fair enough, but we need to see consistency in decisions across the league from now on.
It was another good performance though from the half-back combination, and Jack Welsby, and their continued growth as a unit is a positive to take forward.
