St.Helens Women Prop, Vicky Whitfield looks ahead to the upcoming season, which gets underway on Saturday!
Vicky was talked at the 2024 Betfred Women’s Super League launch event, which took place at York Valkyrie’s LNER Community Stadium.
Whitfield will miss the first few weeks of the new season, after undergoing surgery during the off-season to replace a previous injury.
She discusses the injury, and how she is looking forward to getting back out on the pitch in a few weeks time, as well as the lengths that the club has gone medically to make sure players get the right treatment for their injuries.
Our number eight discussed getting paid in 2024, after it was announced last week that our players would receive match payments for the first time this season.
