Hear from head coach Paul Wellens as we bounced back from last weeks disappointing performance with a big win at home against Hull FC.
Paul said that we’ve had some honest conversations through the week as a team, but all he asked for from the team was a response, and a performance in which we stuck together and worked as a team, and that is what we got on the night. But, Paul also said that we have some work to do to get back to our best.
Given what happened last week, Paul said we can’t repair the damage from that game, but we can focus on what’s next, and move forward. He said that the signs are there, but it’s not perfect, and we will improve.
Speaking on Waqa Blake, he said that the tries he picked up will give him confidence, and help him going forward. The game plan this week was to just focus on the simple things, and that probably helped.
Paul also picked out all of the pack for praise, and said that they set the platform perfectly for us to build on, and all of them deserve credit.
