We caught up with back-rower, Curtis Sironen, ahead of our upcoming round nine clash with the Huddersfield Giants at the Totally Wicked Stadium.
Curtis said that we were looking for a response following the Warrington cup game against Hull and he feels we got that with the fact we conceded zero points against the Black and Whites.
With a bandage on his elbow in the Hull game, he gave an update on his fitness and said he’s feeling good and just looking to get more gametime in this coming Thursday.
He also gave an update on his changing role in the side, with some more minutes through the middle coming his way, and said that he still thinks there’s improvement in his game, and more consistency to come, but his goal is still just to help the team any way he can.
Our last game against the Giants ended with a pretty big scoreline in our favour, but Curtis still thinks the defence was the stand out factor in that game, and we’re looking to get back to that against the giants, this time at home.
Finally, Curtis paid credit to the fans and said that he loves the energy they bring when we play at home and the whole teams enjoys it.
