Head coach Paul Wellens spoke to the press following our round 15 loss at the hands of the Salford Red Devils away from home.
It was a tough game from the outset and Paul said he felt it was always going to be a close cagey affair, but he was disappointed to be opened up again at the end of the game and ultimately come away with nothing.
Paul said that he always backs this team to defend a game out, and always felt that we would be able to do that, but said we seemed to lose some connection through the outside players this week, and that’s something we need to look at going forward.
There were some positives in individual performances though, said Paul, with Sione Mata’utia, Daryl Clark, and Curtis Sironen all playing 80-minutes, and look strong in doing so.
