It’s been over a month now since the Saints have played at our home, the Totally Wicked Stadium, and with all the work over the past month to get the new pitch down there is plenty of excitement in the camp as Wellens explains.
The aim is to get back to winning ways following a narrow loss away last time out to Salford, but Castleford like St.Helens have had a week off to recover and rest ahead of really kicking on into the second half of the 2024 season.
Having already faced Castleford at their ground back in May, Paul knows they have spirit in the team facing run both Hull KR and Wigan close in tight defeats.
The Red V boss also gives the latest update on his squad, with captain Jonny Lomax looking likely to return against Castleford!
