St.Helens Women take on local rivals Wigan Warriors for the first time at Wigan’s home ground – The Brick Community Stadium on Friday night.
On a strong run of good form which has seen his team win their last seven matches in a row, Matty Smith knows that the Saints will need to step up to keep that run rolling against the current league leaders.
St.Helens have already got a win over Wigan Warriors Women in 2024, but with this match being the first derby to be played at their home stadium it’s going to be a tough task to get the away victory.
Smith was pleased though the team got an away win over at Leeds last Saturday, and encourages our supporters to get to The Brick Community Stadium early as we did to get another away day win in the Betfred Women’s Super League.
