Head Coach Paul Wellens speaks to the press following St.Helens home loss to Warrington Wolves, 10-24.
The Saints boss was disappointed to lose a game that the team should have probably gone on and won with the numbers advantage we had following a red and yellow card for Warrington.
With the team significantly down on troops Wellens continues not wanting that to be an excuse for his men. He also credited the group he had on the field for their efforts, declaring a smaller group of men are continually asked to do more, and that Saints will come forward together as a group.
Wellens was also still proud of his young players such as Noah Stephens, Harry Robertson and Jonny Vaughan, and referenced his old coach Daniel Anderson in how he will support them to help them grow and develop, and called on our fans to do the same with their backing of our younger Saints.
