St.Helens Head Coach Paul Wellens speaks to the press ahead of this Friday’s home fixture against Castleford Tigers.
The Red V boss talks about the news that Sione Mata’utia will be leaving the Club come the end of the season, crediting ‘Cee’ for all his efforts as a St.Helens player.
With five senior returnees to his matchday 21-man squad, Wellens talks about having these men return for an important game as we look to cement our place in the play-0ffs. He also talks about the difficulties of the injuries we’ve experienced in the season, and how changes to the team have not helped the team be consistent.
Whilst aware that Castleford have less riding on this upcoming match, Coach Wellens was keen to remind those in the press conference that the Tigers came to our ground and grabbed a famous win on their last visit. So there is further motivation for our team to get a result as we look to build momentum at the right time of the year against a side we would like to get one back over.
