One of our new recruits for the 2025 season, Lewis Murphy, sat down for his first interview since joining up with the Saints!
The pacy winger will be known to a large portion of the St.Helens supporters following his outstanding display at the Totally Wicked Stadium in 2022, picking up four tries for then club Wakefield. Lewis has fond memories about that day, saying he could even feel the love from the Saints fans following his performance.
On his stint in Australia with the Sydney Roosters, he said that he learnt a lot from being over there, both about himself and rugby league and is looking forward to bringing all he learned to play in the Red V.
Lewis said that the excitement of coming back to Super League was big for him, but also coming to St.Helens was a big draw, and the chance to prove who he is, not only to himself but to everyone else too.
His goals for next season revolve mostly around game time, and playing as often as he can. Whilst winning a trophy is up there with what he wants to do for the coming year, and scoring as many tries as possible, the main focus is getting picked as often as possible.
