Battling the elements of winter, with stormy weather, as well as icy and snowy conditions, it is exactly what Wellens wished for, so that his team will be hardened and ready for any circumstances he and his staff put them under.
Wellens reveals his reasons for choosing to not have a warm weather camp for this Pre-Season, with a focus on reconnecting with our town which has deep rooted hard-working ethics.
Discussing how our new recruits have settled in, the Saints boss praises Kyle Feldt, Tristan Sailor, Lewis Murphy and our own young developing talent on coming into the new environment. Wellens also credits our existing squad members at making all feel so welcome.
With his two new assistants Lee Briers and Eamon O’Carroll, Wellens is thoroughly enjoying working with them and what they are bringing to the Saints.
