With the change to the Challenge Cup this year seeing us enter the competition a round earlier than usual, we were drawn against amateur side West Hull away from home.
One of the best sides in the NCL, West Hull brought their best to the game and competed to the best of their abilities throughout, with their defensive efforts drawing universal praise.
We went into the game strong, giving debuts to Tristan Sailor and Lewis Murphy, showing respect to the opposition, but also giving some much needed game time to our younger saints, with Owen Dagnall and Alfie Sinclair also getting debuts.
