Alex Walmsley on improving following Leeds victory

Sat 15 Mar

The Saints prop forward spoke to Saints TV following our 22-14 win over Leeds Rhinos in the Betfred Challenge Cup.

Similar to last week’s match, the Red V were initially limited to field position by the Rhinos, but Walmsley believes they handled the pressure well and managed to turn it around and strike quickly when we had our chances.

Big Al insists that there is plenty of improvement in the Saints side, and that getting the win and dealing with limited territory at time in the manner we have is a huge positive.

Looking ahead to next week at home against Warrington, our third home game in a row, the Red V’s number eight encouraged supporters to keep bringing plenty of noise and support for what is bound to be another fiery encounter against one of our local rivals.
