The Saints’ new outside back speaks to Saints TV about his try-scoring first appearance at the Totally Wicked Stadium!
Coming about it the long way round, and coming full circle to become a senior St.Helens player, Deon Cross is loving his rugby league at the moment and getting the chance to play for the club that he has cheered for all his life.
On his very first home match appearance in the famous Red V strip, he went over for a try too in a classic centre style, and right in front of the West Stand supporters who all cheered one of their own getting a score.
Cross is enjoying working on his edge combinations, evidenced by his beauty of an assist to set up Lewis Murphy. He is also loving working alongside Mark Percival as a fellow centre.
