St.Helens Head Coach Paul Wellens reviews his side’s 40-0 strong home victory over Catalans Dragons in Round 11 of Betfred Super League 2025.
The Saints boss was full of praise for his players for the way they reacted and have come together in the time not playing in the previous week, and seeing their hunger to put things right in front of our own fans.
A lot of the press talk was naturally about the performance of George Whitby following a hat-trick and five goals kicked, and Wellens has been so pleased with how the young scrum-half has come into our First Team and do his own game very well.
Wellens was also keen to reaffirm what he said during the week, that the the Club and our supporters are in this together, and that the feeling of being connected as one was there, particularly near the end of the game when the team were defending the Dragons and turning them away to keep the zero on the scoreline.
