Head Coach Paul Wellens speaks to the press ahead of Friday night’s away fixture against Hull KR.
With Matt Whitley and Harry Robertson back in the squad selection, and Jake Wingfield making good progress following a dead leg, Wellens is starting to get more selection headaches. Particularly in the outside backs, with the likes of Konrad Hurrell and Kyle Feldt nearing returns, as well as youngster Owen Dagnall doing well on his Super League debut last time out.
The Saints boss pays credit to Hull KR for their hard work to become one of the most consistent performing sides in recent years in the league competition, and knows that our meeting at their ground will be a tough, attritional battle despite them getting ready for Wembley the following week.
Not being drawn though on the Robins’ Cup Final exploits, Wellens wants his team’s focus to be solely on themselves, and to build consistent performances.
