The Saints were looking to extend their historic four-in-a-row run of Women’s Challenge Cup trophies to five at Wembley Stadium on Saturday, 7th June 2025 in a fixture against our local rivals the Wigan Warriors.
Derek Hardman & Craig Richards’ Saints earned their place in the Final with Group Stage wins over Warrington and Cardiff, a Quarter-Final win over London and a battling victory in the Semi-Final over York.
The Warriors made it to their first Women’s Challenge Cup Final, and were the form team heading into the game at the national stadium after a strong start to the 2025 season. They were also chasing a first victory in the league or Cup over Saints since 2018.
