Head Coach Paul Wellens speaks to the press ahead of this Sunday’s away fixture against Salford Red Devils.
The Saints boss starts by going over the latest news regarding his squad, with players in our back line suffering injuries which will keep them out for a number of weeks. However, there was positive news with the expected return of Kyle Feldt edging ever closer, and back-rower Joe Batchelor also due to return to availability.
Wellens reveals that the loan for Konrad Hurrell to Bradford Bulls was always the plan, with the centre getting the chance to see where he is following injury, in a high-end of the Championship clash for the West Yorkshire side.
Despite all Salford’s off-field issues this season, Wellens is aware that the Red Devils at their home can be a challenging side and is not getting drawn into any prediction of the game’s result. The only thing he wants from his team, is for them to show they are willing to work hard for one another, and put in a strong performance, and if they do, the result should take care of itself.
