Saints TV caught up with our #8, Alex Walmsley, to discuss his recent milestone moment and look ahead to the second half of the 2025 season.
The star prop forward shared his feelings after reaching 300 matches played for St.Helens R.F.C., despite it coming on a night for the Red V to forget against Hull KR. Being presented with his shirt by his family made the moment even more special, and Walmsley explains how his partner and children are his purpose.
Walmsley talks about the mood in the camp being a determined one ahead of what is a big period of fixtures, with the ambition for the squad to move ourselves up higher in the league table. Whilst there has been unfortunate news on the injury front with Mark Percival, Lewis Murphy and Jack Welsby, Alex believes in the full squad and that our youngsters are ready to stake their claims for the Red V.
Ahead of going to Salford on Sunday, Walmsley knows that their team will be desperate to earn a second Super League win of the year and credits the spirit they have shown in difficult circumstances so far this season.
