After a week with a game due to the Challenge Cup Final, the Saints were fired up to go to the home of the Red Devils. Wellens men knew that whilst they are currently bottom of the league and battling a whole host of off-field issues, they would be desperate for a home victory.
The Red V were looking to get a second win over Salford in 2025, having beaten them back in February in Round One, 82-0, albeit in difficult circumstances due to Salford’s sustainability cap restriction.
Wellens welcomed back winger Kyle Feldt who started the game, and back-rower Joe Batchelor off the bench.
