The Saints headed into the fixture on the back of a big away win over Salford Red Devils, which came at the cost of three more injuries to our squad.
This was the third meeting of the season between Saints and Leeds, with the score tied at 1-1. Our Red V men were victorious over the Rhinos in the Fourth Round of the Challenge Cup, but the West Yorkshire side got their own back at Magic Weekend in Newcastle.
Paul Wellens brought in Jake Burns for his first Super League appearance of the season coming off the bench alongside Agnatius Paasi, and Jake Wingfield started the game in the back-row.
