Ahead of St.Helens hosting Salford Red Devils in Round 16 of Betfred Super League 2025, Vice Captain Morgan Knowles speaks to Saints TV about the team’s ambition in the second half of the campaign.
Given we played Salford just two weeks ago, we know the game they will bring to us, with Morgan stating he feels they are a tougher team than their league position would suggest, and they gave us a tough game last time out. He said we had to earn the right to play against them last time out and we’ll be looking to do that again this week.
Last week’s win over Leeds though was a much needed result, and an improved performance, which Morgan believes we built off the back of our hard work and defence. He said he believes that it was somewhat back to the standards that we set ourselves.
With a month of away games coming up, Morgan said that the fans against Leeds were brilliant and it does give us a massive lift, so if you can get down to support the team ahead of that run of away games, it gives us a massive boost.
Acknowledging that this is his last season with the club, Morgan said that while he is enjoying it, and enjoying his testimonial events, his priority is just playing well for Saints, and finishing on a high.
