Following a big win for us last time out against the Leeds Rhinos, we were looking to back that up this week and put in what would need to be a professional performance against a Salford team marred with off the field issues over the course of this year. However, this was possibly the strongest team they’d been able to field this season, and so we knew we’d have to put in a strong showing to avoid a possible banana skin here.
Salford came into the game looking to pick up just their second win of the season, but buoyed by the fact they were able to field a stronger team than they had all year. With strength in their outside backs, and the arrival of Danny Richardson in the halves, they would come into the game with some confidence and looking to cause an upset.
