Straight after the 58-0 home win over Salford Red Devils, Saints TV caught up with our hooker Jake Burns!
It was a good day at the office for Jake, who grabbed his first try of the 2025 Betfred Super League season, and followed it moments later by grabbing his second!
Burns was full of admiration for his fellow members of the pack, particularly Noah Stephens for his strong carry ahead of the second try.
However, coming back to that first try, it came in unique circumstances with Tristan Sailor running under the posts and then handing the try to Jake. It required a Video Ref check over too, but was given and got Burns off the mark for the season.
Burns has featured for our Reserves side regularly this season so far, but to get back playing Super League was rewarding for the 25-year-old.
Now, all eyes look to Hull, with our Saints taking on the Black & Whites of Hull FC for the time in 2025 on Saturday.
