Ahead of St.Helens taking on Hull FC this weekend, Saints and England prop forward Matty Lees joined Paul Hawksbee and Charlie Baker live on talkSPORT!
The Red V’s number #10 appeared on the world’s biggest sports radio station in the same week he was selected as part of England Men’s Train-On Squad ahead of this autumn’s ABK Beer Ashes series against Australia.
Lees discussed what the ‘off-feet’ session was all about, and how excited he is to be in contention for the historic international series, but insisted he still has plenty of work to do in the remainder of the 2025 season if he wants to remain included.
Paul Hawksbee, who earlier this year declared himself a Saints fan, asked Lees about his contract extension which was confirmed back in February, and wanted to know more about why he chose to extend his time with the Club.
Looking ahead to Saturday’s clash against Hull FC, Matty talked about wanting to get a victory over the Black & Whites, a fellow team that is in the Super League top six positions.
