St.Helens Captain Jonny Lomax speaks to Saints TV following our 6-13 away win over Hull FC!
Our half-back was integral to the victory, kicking two conversions and slotting over a late and game-clinching drop-goal.
Lomax talks about the performance against a physically demanding Hull FC side, who were out to earn their first home win at the MKM Stadium in 2025. Jonny pays credit to his teammates, particularly his recent halves partner Moses Mbye, as well as back-rower Jake Wingfield, who was part of his edge combination.
During the match, Lomax made the decision to challenge a penalty against Saints after Curtis Sironen took Harvey Barron in touch, with the referee originally stating it was a tackle complete. Jonny raised some eyebrows when he used his Captain’s Challenge, on both sides of the field, but he was pleased his decision to do it was the right one too.
Lomax thanked our supporters for making the big journey to West Hull, and urged all the Saints faithful to get over to Leeds for another big game next week!
