The Saints First Team played three matches during July, with the Round 20 split meaning that there was no fixture in the final weekend of the month, and the Red V get back on the field on the 1st of August at home to Castleford.
It started with an away day visit to the MKM Stadium against Hull FC, where two Kyle Feldt tries and a Jonny Lomax drop goal ensured the victory. Then six days later, our Saints were away again but at AMT Headingley to face Leeds.
The match against the Rhinos was a hard-fought battle in boiling hot temperatures, and Owen Dagnall’s sole try from the match ensured Saints’ defensive masterclass on the night would be rewarded with the win.
July’s final match was a return home to the Totally Wicked Stadium against Leigh. The Leopards took home the spoils, but Harry Robertson did score for the Red V.
