Matt Whitley racked up his 250th career appearance in St.Helens’ 40-0 win over Castleford Tigers, and he spoke to Saints TV about reaching the milestone!
The back-rower was pleased to get the win on what was a special night for him and his family, with a big score but perhaps more importantly, keeping Castleford to nil.
It was match appearance number 44 for the Billinge-born player, who is proud to put on the famous Red V every single time he can.
With a visit to Wakefield next week, Whitley knows to expect a tough challenge, but as we aim to attack the back end of this season, and build consistency, we’re looking to go over to West Yorkshire and perform strongly again.
