St.Helens Head Coach Paul Wellens gives his verdict on his side’s 40-0 win over Castleford Tigers in Round 20 of the 2025 Betfred Super League.
The Saints boss described the victory as a professional one, admitting that there was a small period where the Red V got a little loose, but the manner of the win was strong and convincing.
Praising his pack men for laying down the platform, Wellens was also pleased with the impact and performance of his interchanges on the bench.
Two highlight moments saw young guns Harry Robertson race the length of the field for a sensational score, and Owen Dagnall kick ahead for himself to dive onto a ball and score. The Saints boss talks about how pleased he was that those youngsters were confident enough to go and express themselves out on the field.
