With no second chances, the Play-Offs arrived and saw third placed Leeds host our fifth placed St.Helens. The winning side’s season would continue into the Betfred Super League Semi-Finals, and an away visit to Hull KR.
The Rhinos headed into this game on the back of two defeats, an away loss to Wigan and a fortnight before facing Saints a home loss to Catalans. Meanwhile, Saints shook off a run of three losses with a tight win over Castleford, but with a largely rotated matchday squad.
Both Saints and Leeds are two clubs with a rich history in the knockout stages of the competition, and it made for a big match feel under the lights on Saturday night.
