St.Helens held our annual First Team Media Day for 2026 at BrewDog Liverpool!
Always an exciting day in the calendar with the new season fast approaching, the Saints took the press junket into Liverpool and to our Principal Club Partners’ bar on Colquitt Street in the city’s historic Ropewalks district.
The Saints are thrilled to be working in partnership with BrewDog over the next ten years following the announcement of our major sponsorship agreement with the global brand, which includes making our home ground The BrewDog Stadium.
First Team stars Jacob Host, David Klemmer, Nene Macdonald, Tristan Sailor, Joe Shorrocks, and Shane Wright got to sample the bar and enjoy a bite to eat ahead of speaking with the assembled media.
Saints TV subscribers will be able to see an interview with David Klemmer from Media Day later today.
All six Red V players expressed their excitement for the new campaign and talked about how hard the squad has been working in training to prepare for all the action to come.
Chairman Eamonn McManus was also in attendance and discussed with the press the Club’s thrilling new chapter, highlighting our partnership with BrewDog, our new Head Coach Paul Rowley, and the seven new recruits joining ahead of the 2026 season.
St.Helens R.F.C.’s General Manager, Dave Hutchinson, was also on hand to speak to members of the media about our commercial partnership with BrewDog, which includes a full refurbishment of the Club’s bar, formerly known as The RedV bar. BrewDog and the Saints will relaunch this bar under a new name from the 2026 season: The Marching Inn, which will open ahead of our home season-opening match against Leigh Leopards on Friday, 20th February 2026.
