Following what he said was a “long bus trip” and a “cold” night we caught up with Tristan Sailor to discuss his first experience of Cumbria.
He was happy with how the game went, and really happy with how great the atmosphere was with our fans and Workington fans making an occasion of it. He said it was a tough start to the game, but to concede only two points you have to be happy with that.
On his own performance he said he felt he went well, as did the rest of the team, with everyone just trying to play their roles, but everyone being quite fluid and interchangeable. He went on to say that more important than the tries was the decoy runs the team were running, so he was very happy with the performance.
With 4,500 people in attendance, Tristan thanked all the fans for coming out for the game saying the Saints fans always travel well, and we couldn’t do what we do without them.
