Back from injury and making his first appearance of the 2026 season, Noah Stephens made his mark in the Saints’ win over Bradford. The young prop spoke to Saints TV after the game.
The young forward felt the game against the Bulls played out a bit as the team expected, a tough contest against a motivated team
Despite the Bulls stepping up from the Championship, their performances have shown they are a strong side, and the Saints never treated the fixture as anything less than an expected physical battle. Stephens admitted it was more of a gritty game, but one that he was pleased to be on the right side of.
Detailing his frustrating injury late in the pre-season, Noah talks about the fractured ankle that set him back, just as he was looking to build momentum. However, he is now back fit and available and pleased to be back in the mix and contributing to the team.
Showing impact with some big, tough carries, especially off the restarts, the prop prides himself on carrying the ball as hard as he can. With highly experienced men such as Matty Lees, Alex Walmsley and David Klemmer in the squad, he believes he is in a great position to keep developing.
Looking ahead, Stephens knows Saints face another difficult challenge next week as attention turns to the Challenge Cup and a trip to face Castleford.
