St.Helens were riding high after a remarkable comeback victory over the then top of the table Wigan Warriors in the Good Friday derby in the previous week. Paul Rowley’s men were out to make it two wins over Catalans, having already been victorious at the Stade Gilbert Brutus at the end of February, 4-36.
The Dragons got back to winning ways during Rivals Round in their last match before the Quarters, beating fellow French side Toulouse 33-26.
