A modern-day legend of St.Helens R.F.C., Jonny Lomax joins Stuart Pyke for the Saints TV exclusive programme, Sit Down With Saints.
The long-serving Saint discusses his recovery from a rare wrist injury, picked up against Leigh Leopards, explaining that while progress is being made, patience remains key due to the unusual nature of the issue. He reflects on the frustration of being sidelined during a period where the squad has been heavily affected by injuries, but highlights the importance of staying involved around the group and supporting younger players stepping up.
Lomax also shares his perspective on leadership, speaking openly about handing over the captaincy to Matty Lees and the pride he had in doing so. He also spoke about his role within the squad, offering guidance and experience while allowing emerging talent the freedom to develop.
The conversation provides a broader look at his career, from his early days at the Club, to becoming one of its most experienced men.
Plus, Jonny opens up about the early challenges he faced as an aspiring player, and how reflecting on that adversity now it may have shaped him as a person and player.
